Made for my students · free for everyone · 1,000 sight-reading pieces
Can’t read music yet? Let’s fix that.
Struggling to read music is frustrating. Every new piece turns into a guessing game, and practice grinds to a halt. The good news: reading is a skill, and it grows the same way every skill does, with a little fresh practice every day.
So I’ve written 200 brand-new sight-reading pieces for each of Grades 1 to 5 – 1,000 in all, and all free. They’re pitched at ABRSM sight-reading level, so every piece is new music at exactly the right step. Read one a day and that’s more than six months of fresh reading for every grade.
- Take a 30-second look, then play it straight through, just like in the exam
- Stuck on a note? It lights up on the violin fingerboard with its finger and string
- Listen at your own speed, then have another go
- Print any grade as a PDF for lessons and home practice
- Works on phones, tablets and computers, even offline
200 pieces in every grade · from four-bar tunes in D and A major to 3rd-position pieces with four sharps or flats
